“I don’t set out to create art about one subject or another nor do I limit myself to a specific medium when doing so. The majority of my art is figurative but contains no strong cast message. If an understanding can be provoked I hope it’s a do it yourself sense of attitude & a freedom to look at things from different ways, resist the accepted norm.”
Born in San Francisco in 1978 to a nurse and an architect, Olof started out drawing and imitating his dad’s huge architectural drawings and copying his own comic books. He began getting serious with his art towards the end of high school. He received a scholarship while still in high school to the Academy of Art in San Francisco. Since then he has been in a number of group, solo and juried shows with his mainly figurative paintings. Also, he was a finalist featured with a full page in International Artists Magazine August/September 2009. Most recently, Olof received 1st place at the West Hartford Art League CT+6 show in April, 2012. He has been a professional artist for the past ten years, painting mostly with oils, spray paint and acrylics.
