Artist Statement
“My jewelry focuses on my Handmade Glass Beads, which are combined with freshwater pearls, Austrian crystal and sterling silver. The beads are formed with a torch from molten glass and are annealed in a kiln for strength. I use Italian Glass and often include precious metals in my designs. The designs for both my jewelry and my beads are strongly influenced by decades of summer on Martha’s Vineyard. I love the transparency of glass and find it a wonderful medium to convey the joy of summer on the island.”
